Overview of 4 Days 3 Nights
While searching for cruising Halong bay, you may see mostly the 1 night or 2 night itinerary. Very few cruises offer a continuous 4 day 3 night trip since it is a long duration and costs a lot more than the others. Besides, spending up to 3 nights in a destination is not popular and favored for first-timers. Nevertheless, a 4-day cruise tour still bears its own advantages that you may want to try once!
How is 4 day 3 night cruising?
Since all overnight cruises depart from the port at noon time and get back at a similar time, you only have around 24 hours onboard for a 1-night trip. Therefore, cruising for 3 nights offers you almost 72 hours on the cruise.
Like a floating hotel, a 3-night cruise includes a full range of services with prevailing facilities such as private cabins with a bathroom, all meals in the program, drinks, safety equipment, English speaking tour guide, activities and programs on 4 days, etc. The more luxurious the cruise is, the more variety of facilities and services it offers.
Why should you try 4 day 3 night cruising in Halong?
More relaxing time
Normally, a 1-night or 2-night program includes all the most signature spots in the bay. Constant activities for these itineraries may make you feel rushed and not have enough downtime to rest and enjoy. For a 4 day 3 night itinerary, the schedule includes more excursions yet the activities may be repeated, especially the onboard activities. You can have more private time in your lovely cabin and balcony, more time for a rejuvenation spa, or simply spend hours lazing on the sun terrace deck.
Escape from the crowds
Instead of only coming to the most-visited attractions, cruising for 3 nights, you will escape from the crowds with isolated spots and experience maximum privacy and peace. What could be better than a sun-kissed vacation on a pristine sandy beach or floating on a kayak in the middle of the ocean with no one and no other boats around? 4 day 3 night itineraries are perfect for a hassle-free trip on Halong bay.
A great diversity of activities
3-night cruising undoubtedly offers a great variety of activities both on and off the boat. Depending on each cruise type, the facilities and services may provide a bunch of activities such as playing golf, soaking in the swimming pool, having body massage and skin care, playing poker, singing karaoke, fishing squid, doing Taichi at dawn, etc. Moreover, the onboard activities and facilities may repeat day by day, giving you more options to join without missing one.
As for off-board excursions, you can try almost all typical activities such as swimming, sunbathing on the beach, visiting a floating village, exploring the cave, riding a bike or taking an electric car around a local village, kayaking on the bay, etc. A 4 day 3 night itinerary ensures you to freely choose a leisure or active time.

Frequently asked questions
1. Do we return to the harbor daily to pick up new passengers?
It depends on which cruise and which itinerary you book in advance. If you book a continuous 3-night itinerary on a shared cruise, you will join excursions on a day boat while the mother boat comes back to the harbor to pick up new passengers.
2. Can we choose the attractions to visit?
If you book a private charter cruise, you can send a request to the cruise organizer for the itinerary change. If you book a shared cruise, all passengers share one itinerary and cannot change the attractions. Please note that the alternative attractions must be in the same area as other attractions since each cruise must follow one route in a specific bay.
3. Are the facilities onboard all included?
Except for the spa/massage/sauna, all facilities such as mini-golf, swimming pool, library, and poker club are included in the room rate.
4. Is it possible to extend 1 night if we have booked 2 nights?
Yes. You certainly can extend more nights while you have booked a 2-night trip. In case you are in the middle of the trip, the extension is possible yet you may need to come back to the harbor for the new registration at the port and will go the same itinerary as before.
5. Do I stay overnight on the boat for all 3 nights or do we stay in the hotel as well?
For 4 day 3 night itineraries, you usually stay on the boat for all 3 nights.
